Adopting From Haiti

Our Story

Our Story Image

Approximately a year and a half ago, the Lord used a special person to lead me (Heidi) to Haiti. The Lord broke my heart for this country and it's people. My heart was specifically drawn to an 11-year-old boy, Keshmy, who would come to the missions compound where my team would stay. Keshmy was left on his own very early in life.

My husband, Ross, felt a tug on his heart for Keshmy as I shared my experiences and photos with him.  Our 12-year-old son, Christian, also expressed how much he would like to have a brother his age.  After I returned from my third trip to Haiti we began the adoption journey to bring Keshmy into our family.  It was so hard to return to America without him but we look forward to that glorious day when we will be able to bring him home with us.

The adoption process can be long and expensive and it is a true test of faith, hope, and love.  However, we feel so blessed that the Lord would allow us to be Keshmy's family and we are thankful for all those that have supported us in the process.

Some people have said to us, "You are going to change that boy's life."  But we respond by saying, "No, he is really changing ours."

We believe God has a great plan for Keshmy and we give Him all the glory for this true blessing.  Thank you for any donation you give.

God Bless.
