1-1 Parent Coaching

  • Do you ever feel overwhelmed with parenting?
  • Do you find yourself saying “I just want my kids to listen to me without having a huge meltdown!”
  • Or maybe, “Are we in way over our heads?”

Yeah, we’ve been there too.  In fact, it can be scary to admit just how overwhelmed we feel by the task in front of us.

Unfortunately, there is no quick fix, magic formula for this whole parenting thing.  There is, however, lots of hope available for you and your kids with a trust-based, connected approach to parenting.

What is connected parenting?  Check out this blog post for an intro.

Connected parenting has transformed our lives for the better, and there is nothing we enjoy more than helping other parents experience the same thing.

Our Coaches

Matt Borst

Matt Borst

Matt tries his hardest to keep up with his 5 kids, ages 12 to 22. Outside of his kids’ activities, you might find him going on a walk through his neighborhood, traveling to get away from the busyness of life for a few days, trying a new restaurant he has never eaten at before, or traveling to Iowa to spend time with his family.

The following quote from Karyn Purvis sums up what Matt is giving his life to; “Tell your children, ‘you are precious, you are valuable, and nobody else is created like you.’”

Anthony Troyer, LSW

Anthony Troyer, LSW

Anthony is a therapist, but he started his career as a Spanish teacher. He loves cross-cultural experiences, and wants to visit every Spanish speaking country. So far, he has 2 checked off the list. It was travel that first brought Anthony and his wife, Lauren, together as they were preparing for overseas mission work 11 years ago.

Anthony and his wife were foster parents for five years.  They have three kiddos (ages 5-12) a dog, and (much to Anthony’s chagrin) two cats. Caring for kids from hard places has taught Anthony that what people truly need, be they young or old, is to feel seen, heard, and valued. That foundation of connection makes anything possible.

What People are Saying

They were absolutely wonderful, and the most gracious, helpful coaches! They would send a weekly email with an outline of the conversation, links to resources, goals for the following week. I would highly recommend Village To Village!

We would highly recommend going through coaching sessions with V2V. They bring an understanding and sensitive approach to the challenges you may be facing. They are able to give you tools to help identify the needs and cries of your child while also working hard to help you protect your marriage and relationships with and between the rest of the family members. Without a doubt, Parent Coaching gave us hope and support when we had lost sight of both.
