Our Story
Amy and Andy met at Gettysburg Seminary during orientation in the Fall of 2012. They had a class together their first semester. They started dating in October and got engaged in February of 2013. Their relationship blossomed quickly and very early in their relationship they talked about the importance of having children. Amy has always wanted to be a mom ever since her sister was born. They enjoy spending time with Andy’s three nieces and nephew and Amy’s little cousin, whenever they get the chance.
Amy and Andy were married in January 2014 on a snowy winter day and went to the Holy Land on their honeymoon. About a year later, Amy and Andy began trying to start a family. After a year of trying, they felt God was leading them to adopt. Amy and Andy are planning to adopt a newborn. The nursery is ready and the car seats are installed. They are ready for when the time comes. Amy and Andy are still in the process of raising money for adoption. They have made many financial sacrifices and are excited to see how God is going to provide for their adoption.
Amy and Andy are both pastors serving in the Lutheran church. They have a rabbit named Mayberry. In their spare time they enjoy going for walks and playing board games.
