Our Story

Our family story has been a story of God’s faithfulness and bringing beauty through ashes! We met when Aaron was a widower with two young daughters. Amy had been praying for a Godly man who shared her dream of doing ministry together and raising children to love the Lord. Aaron was praying for a Godly woman who would love his daughters and be a role model of a Christian woman. When we met, it did not take long for us to know we were the answer to the other’s prayers! We were married a year later and officially became a family. After we had lived together long enough, Amy legally adopted Analyse and Avalyn. We always intended to add more children to our family.

However, just a few weeks after our one year anniversary, I was diagnosed with bone cancer in my femur. To say we were shocked would be an understatement! The next 9 months were incredibly stressful on our young marriage and family. Our only explanation for how we made it through that trial is that the Lord carried us through and provided grace, mercy, and healing. He has been so faithful to us.

As we became more and more confident in the healing God so graciously granted, the desire to have a baby became stronger and stronger in our hearts. Unfortunately, we then learned that the chemotherapy had taken away our opportunity to have babies biologically. For the next year, we tried to ignore the longing for more children. But the Lord not only allowed that desire to continue, He paired it with a growing interest in adoption.

We are so grateful that the Lord has adopted us in His family and we now have the desire to give the same gift to a child. We have been blessed beyond measure and we desire to ‘care for widows and orphans’ as a means of living out our Christian beliefs. We are strongly pro-life, and we believe one way we can put those beliefs into action is by providing a home for a baby whose mom chose to give the gift of life despite her difficult life circumstances.

We have scraped up every penny we can find, and we’ve trimmed our budget in every possible way. The cancer treatment took a toll on us financially. We are planning fundraisers and trusting the Lord to bring this dream to reality. We would be incredibly blessed to have your support and help in bringing our baby home!
