October 8 | 6:30–8:00 PM | 809 Harrison Ave., South Bend, IN
There are moments in a nonprofit’s journey when a vision begins to become something you can actually see, walk through, and experience.
For Village to Village Intl., Oasis Community is one of those moments.
We are excited to invite our friends, supporters, community partners, and neighbors to the Oasis Community Open House & Fundraiser on October 8. This will be a special opportunity to step inside the first phase of Oasis Community and see firsthand what is being created for young adults aging out of foster care.
A Place to Call Home and a Community to Belong To
Oasis Community is an intentional neighboring community in South Bend designed to provide housing and supportive relationships for young adults as they transition from foster care into adulthood.
We believe that young people aging out of foster care need more than a roof over their heads. They need connection, stability, encouragement, and people who are willing to walk alongside them as they learn to navigate life independently.
That is the heart behind Oasis Community.
As you may know, we completed phase 1 about two and a half years ago, and we have learned a lot. We are excited to start focusing on phase 2.
Phase 2 will add two more duplexes, allowing Oasis Community to provide housing and community for additional young adults aging out of foster care.
The need is significant, but so is the opportunity.
Every additional home represents another opportunity for a young person to experience stability, develop healthy relationships, and take meaningful steps toward a healthy and independent future.
That’s why this open house is also a fundraiser. We want people to see what their support can make possible.
Come See the Difference
Whether you have been involved with Village to Village for years or you’re just learning about Oasis Community for the first time, we would love to have you join us.
Come see the homes. Meet some of the people behind the vision. Ask questions. Enjoy some food. And celebrate what we have accomplished together.
