There are days you plan for, and then there are days that remind you why you do what you do.

The 2026 TBRI Summit was one of those days.

With over 360 attendees, representing 100+ organizations across 35 different communities, the room was filled with people who share a common heartbeat: helping children and families feel seen, heard, and valued. PHOTO GALLERY FROM THE DAY

A Keynote That Brought Both Head and Heart

We were honored to have Dr. Daren Jones from Texas Christian University as our keynote speaker, and he delivered in a powerful way.

He didn’t just talk about Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI); he brought it to life.

Daren masterfully blended the “why” with the “how” of everyday practice, giving attendees both a deeper understanding of trauma and practical tools they can use immediately. Whether you’re a parent, teacher, counselor, or leader, there was something you could take and apply right away.

More than anything, he left the room with something that can’t be measured on a survey…Hope.

Real Impact That Extends Beyond the Room

One of the most encouraging parts of the day came from the feedback we received afterward.

Over 90% of participants agreed or strongly agreed that the Summit was helpful and applicable to their work
Nearly the same percentage shared that they plan to apply what they learned immediately

Our goal is not just inspiration but transformation.

Attendees consistently shared how meaningful it was to gain practical strategies, connect with others doing similar work, and walk away feeling better equipped to support children and families impacted by trauma.

More Than Content, It Was Connection

Between breakout sessions, hallway conversations, and shared meals, something deeper was happening.

People weren’t just learning TBRI; they were experiencing it. From the amazing team from Granger Community Church to our stellar volunteers who helped make this day a success.

You could see it in the way people listened to one another, encouraged one another, and leaned into conversations about hard things with compassion and curiosity.

Gratitude for Those Who Made It Possible

Events like this don’t happen without incredible partners.

A special thank you to our Platinum Sponsors:

  • Nate Stemm from Edward Jones
  • John and Traca Beck

Your generosity helped create a space where hundreds of people could be equipped, encouraged, and empowered.

We’re deeply grateful.

This Is Just the Beginning

If there’s one thing we’re taking away from this year’s summit, it’s this:

There is a growing community of people committed to doing this work differently.

  • People who believe that connection changes behavior.
  • People who are willing to slow down, build trust, and lead with empathy.
  • People who are bringing TBRI into homes, schools, churches, and organizations every single day.

And we’re just getting started.

If you attended, thank you for being part of such an incredible day.

If you didn’t, we’d love to have you join us next time.

Because every child deserves to be seen, heard, and valued, and every adult deserves the tools to make that possible.
