During Parenting for Positive Self-Worth, we focus on parenting tools and strategies that we can pass on to our kids to help them develop and maintain positive self-worth. Parenting for Positive Self-Worth is built on Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI).
As infants, babies start to internalize their own self-worth based on how seen, heard, and valued they feel. The strategies that we, as caregivers, use to respond (or not respond) to their distress and creativity, shape their understanding of themselves and the world around them. Unfortunately, many of us weren’t taught connected parenting strategies and sometimes struggle to parent our kids in a way that leaves everyone feeling connected and precious. This course helps parents examine their own attachment style and develop tools that will help the entire family feel seen, heard, and valued.
