Reflecting on a Year of Growth and Impact: Our 2024 Year-End Review
As we close the chapter on another incredible year, we are filled with gratitude and excitement for the progress and impact we’ve made. 2024 has been a year of remarkable achievements, growth, and continued service to our community. Let’s take a moment to reflect on some of the key milestones across our initiatives.
Oasis Community
This year marked a monumental achievement for the Oasis Community with the completion of our single family house, which was the final step in completing phase 1 of this transformative project. This milestone represents a significant step forward in creating a supportive and nurturing environment for young people exiting out of the foster care system. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this vision becoming a reality.
Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI)
2024 has been a banner year for advancing TBRI principles and practices within our community and beyond. Here are some of the highlights:
Expanding Programs and Training Opportunities
– HALO Program: This year, we launched our very first HALO Program, providing vital support to children and their families.
– Horizon Education Alliance Training: We had the privilege of training school counselors in Elkhart County, equipping them with the tools to foster relational health in their school corporations.
Events and Conferences
– TBRI Summit: Over 250 professionals came together for this impactful one-day conference, sharing insights, strengthening networks, and learning more about TBRI.
– Hope for the Journey Conference: A conference designed to meet the unique needs of foster and adoptive parents. This annual conference continues to meet the needs of struggling families in our community.
Building Collaborations and Expanding Training
– Indiana TBRI Collaborative: We were thrilled to establish the Indiana TBRI Collaborative, creating a unified network for sharing resources and best practices. We will continue this initiative in 2025 bringing all the TBRI Practitioners together virtually four times a year.
– School Training: Our team provided impactful training for:
1. Grace College’s authorized charter school administrators
2. Three different school districts in Michigan and Indiana
Supporting Foster Families and Professionals
– We extended our reach to Iowa, offering specialized training for foster families and professionals through a partnership with Valley Church in West Des Moines.
Parent Coaching
– Our parent coaching service continues to grow by supporting multiple families through one-on-one virtual training where the caregivers are learning how to best help their kiddos by implementing TBRI in their homes.
Looking Ahead
As we celebrate these accomplishments, we are also looking ahead to an exciting future. Each milestone achieved in 2024 sets the stage for an even greater impact in the coming year.
