As we wrap up 2025, we can’t help but look back in awe at all that has happened through Village to Village this year. Thank you for being part of this journey. You have helped shape a year filled with impact and hope.
HALO Program: A Full Circle of Success
We kicked off the year with an incredibly successful round of the HALO Program. Families showed up ready to learn, grow, and heal, and they did just that. Watching parents build trust and connection with their kids never gets old. (We may or may not have teared up more than once)
TBRI Summit
In April, we hosted our biggest TBRI Summit yet. Over 320 people gathered to learn, connect, and refine their skills in supporting children from hard places. The energy in that room was contagious. This event continues to remind us that our community is hungry for hope-filled tools of TBRI.
Oasis Community: Phase Two Moving Forward
This year, the City of South Bend awarded $150,000 toward Phase 2 of Oasis Community. That support moves us one giant step closer to building two more duplexes and expanding this place of belonging and stability. We also celebrated the two-year anniversary of the day Oasis Community officially opened its doors.
Michiana’s TBRI Movement Keeps Growing
Back in 2019, you could count Michiana’s TBRI Practitioners on one hand and still have fingers left over. Today, we have 22 trained practitioners serving kids and families across the region. When we talk about “creating a culture of connection,” this is exactly what we mean.
Training Over 500 People in 2025
Between Matt and Anthony, more than 500 people received TBRI training this year. That’s hundreds of educators, caregivers, youth workers, and community leaders walking into classrooms, agencies, and homes with more skills, more understanding, and more empathy.
Reaching New Communities (and Languages!)
One of the highlights of the year was completing our first TBRI training for a Catholic school in South Bend and being able to bring Jhuni Salazar with us to offer the same training entirely in Spanish for their Spanish-speaking teachers and staff. Access matters. Representation matters. And this moment felt like both.
A Beautiful Handoff in WaNee Schools
After five years of partnering with the WaNee Community School District, we officially handed off ongoing TBRI training to five of their own TBRI practitioners. Watching a district fully adopt and sustain TBRI on their own? That’s the dream. And they’re doing it beautifully.
Leading the TBRI Collaborative for Indiana
We also wrapped up another strong year leading the TBRI Collaborative for the entire state of Indiana, helping unite practitioners, share resources, and strengthen trauma-informed work statewide. It’s amazing what happens when people come around a shared mission.
As We End the Year, We Invite You Into the Impact
As we look toward 2026, we’re dreaming big again. More families served, more practitioners trained, more growth at Oasis Community, and more opportunities to bring healing into places where it’s desperately needed.
If Village to Village has impacted you or aligned with your heart this year, we’d be honored if you would consider including us in your year-end giving. Your generosity fuels everything we do and helps us build something lasting for kids, families, and communities.
Together, we’re creating spaces where people feel seen, heard, and valued.
And we can’t wait to see what we’ll accomplish next year with your help.
Thanks again for being on this journey with us.
